ABOUT OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions of use ("Terms") explain how you may use this website and any of its content, including our membership community ("Membership") called The Content Mastery Crew, provided by Social Seahorse Ltd ("we," "us," or "our"), and our website ("Site"). These Terms apply between Social Seahorse Ltd and you, the person accessing or using the Site and/or Membership ("you" or "your").

Please read these Terms carefully before using the Site or Membership. By using the Site or Membership, or otherwise indicating your agreement, you confirm that you accept these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should stop using the Site and Membership immediately.

We may update these Terms from time to time, including by adding, modifying, or removing certain provisions. While we may not always notify you directly, we encourage you to check these Terms periodically. If you do not agree to any updated Terms, please contact us and we will cancel your membership.

If you purchase a membership or any digital content or services from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Memberships are non-transferable and for personal use only unless explicitly stated otherwise. Sharing access or violating these Terms may result in termination without a refund. We reserve the right to amend or withdraw membership benefits at any time.

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on our Membership: if you change your mind within 14 days of purchase, you may request a full refund. After this period, no refunds will be issued.

MEMBERSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS

This section outlines terms specific to our Membership, The Content Mastery Crew, hosted on Heartbeat.

Membership Features and Obligations

Your membership may include access to:

  • Live and on-demand social media training sessions

  • Monthly content planning kits, awareness day calendars, and downloadable templates

  • Community chat threads for peer support, collaboration, and feedback

  • Live group Q&As, expert masterclasses, and community-led events

  • A supportive, moderated peer-to-peer platform for networking and sharing wins or questions

  • A content request space where businesses can submit short tasks for students to pick up, offering flexible, unpaid work experience opportunities (with potential for them to offer paid work experience opportunities too)

  • Access to training and real-world project briefs aimed at helping students and junior marketers build portfolios and gain confidence whilst supporting small business owners and marketing teams

  • Occasional offers, discounts, or access to new products and services via Social Seahorse

These features are designed to support both professional development and practical experience. They may evolve over time, but any significant changes will be communicated to members.

As a member, you agree to:

  • Not share your login details or access with others

  • Not distribute, reproduce, or sell any resources, training, or member content

  • Follow our membership guidelines and Code of Conduct, and engage respectfully with others

  • Only use content and tools for your personal or internal business use (unless permission is granted)

Expectations Around Student Involvement

The Content Mastery Crew includes a peer-to-peer learning opportunity through student involvement in real-world content creation tasks. These students are gaining voluntary, unpaid work experience and are not employed by Social Seahorse. We cannot guarantee:

  • That every business will receive 1:1 student support

  • The quality or timeliness of student-created content

All student contributions must be reviewed and, if necessary, edited before use. Students are free to choose whether to take on a content task and are under no obligation to complete any specific request. Requests should be made respectfully and with realistic expectations.

Duty of Care and Fair Work Expectations

We are committed to the wellbeing of students participating in the Membership and take our duty of care seriously. Where students undertake paid freelance or work experience roles through businesses in the membership, those businesses are solely responsible for:

  • Ensuring students are paid the correct minimum or living wage based on their location

  • Managing their own employment or freelance contracts and responsibilities

  • Meeting legal requirements for work placements, including right-to-work documentation, where applicable

Where students engage in unpaid voluntary opportunities through the platform, they are responsible for logging their hours and ensuring they do not exceed limits set in their home country.

Membership Duration and Renewal

Memberships may be offered on a monthly, annual, or one-off lifetime basis. Recurring memberships will automatically renew unless cancelled prior to the renewal date. You can manage your subscription through your Heartbeat account settings.

Lifetime Membership

If we offer a lifetime membership:

  • It includes continued access to core resources, templates, training and the community for the lifetime of the programme

  • If the programme ceases within three years, we will issue a pro-rata refund for any full unused years

  • No refund will be given after the three-year threshold

  • Lifetime memberships are not eligible for refund if downgraded

Membership Fees and Payment

Fees are clearly listed on the membership or checkout pages. Payments are securely processed through Stripe. By signing up for a recurring plan, you authorise us to charge future payments accordingly. Missed or failed payments may result in temporary suspension or full termination of access.

Our Liability

We provide resources and training to support your learning and growth, but we do not guarantee specific results. You accept and understand:

  • We are not liable for how you apply the training or use content

  • We are not responsible for third-party tools, platforms, or services integrated or mentioned

  • Our liability is limited to the fees you’ve paid in the past 12 months

Membership Cancellation

You may cancel your membership at any time via your Heartbeat account or by contacting jess@socialseahorse.com. If you have taken part in live calls, downloads, or submitted work, refunds will only be issued in accordance with our 14-day guarantee policy. Otherwise, no refunds will be offered.

We reserve the right to suspend or cancel membership if we believe there has been misconduct, policy violations, or consistent complaints from other members.

End of Membership

Your access ends immediately upon cancellation or expiry of your membership. You are still bound by the terms relating to content use, confidentiality, and intellectual property.

Intellectual Property in Membership Content

All materials and content shared within the Membership — including templates, graphics, documents, and video content — remain the intellectual property of Social Seahorse Ltd or its contributors. You may use them for personal or business use as part of your membership, but not distribute, resell, or publish them outside the platform without written permission.
