I’m a social media and content strategist, trainer and coach and Founder of Social Seahorse & The Content mastery crew
With more than 17 years’ experience in content marketing, I’ve helped some of the world’s biggest brands tell better stories, create standout content, and build engaged communities into the millions.
I began at the BBC, leading social and content for brands like BBC Three, Strictly Come Dancing, Radio 1, World Service, and EastEnders. I later moved into Higher Education to head up social media at the University of Sussex, where I launched a student content creator scheme that skyrocketed the university’s social stats - and launched dozens of students’ media careers.
Through Social Seahorse, I’ve gone on to support higher education organisations including UCAS, the University of Oxford and St Mary’s University.
Seeing the same struggles across so many HE institutions for university marketers and brilliantly creative students seeking work experience led me to create The Content Mastery Crew to offer the systems, skills and support they need to thrive.

The Content Mastery Crew® is designed for higher education marketing, communications, digital and social media teams, as well as other university staff responsible for creating content or managing social media accounts.
It also supports student content creators and social media ambassadors whose university has purchased a partnership package, giving them access to practical training, resources and ongoing support.

We offer a range of flexible annual partnership packages based on the number of staff accounts and level of support your institution requires. Every package also includes free membership for an unlimited number of your student content creators.
If you’re interested in joining, please get in touch. I’d be happy to give you a personalised demonstration of the platform, answer any questions and provide a tailored proposal with the most suitable options for your team and budget.
University partnerships run for an initial 12-month term. Before the end of your partnership, we’ll contact you to discuss renewal. If you choose to continue, we’ll confirm the package, price and arrangements for the following year, subject to written agreement and a new purchase order where required.

Yes. To ensure every university or other HE organisation receives a high level of support during implementation, we’re initially welcoming just 10 Founding University Partners.
Once these places are filled, we’ll temporarily pause new partnerships while we onboard and support our founding cohort. For university or organisational partner plans, once your invoice has been paid, we’ll email you to let you know your start date. We’ll then grant you / your team access to your member hub from that date, so you can dive in and get set for social success!
